Omer Awan. Chief Data and Digital Officer of Atrium Health (Charlotte, N.C.). Mr. Awan has been the chief data and digital officer at Atrium Health since August 2020. He has experience leading cross-functional teams of technical experts to analyze systems and implement software and process solutions. He leads Atrium’s efforts to leverage data and digital solutions and assumed the role from Atrium Health Navicent in Macron, Ga., where he was the senior vice president and chief information and digital officer.
Michael Berger. Vice President and Chief Data and Analytics Officer of Mount Sinai and Vice President Enterprise Data Science Center of Excellence at Mount Sinai Care (New York City). Mr. Berger has been at his current position at Mount Sinai since February 2019. He uses data to improve the health and wellness of patients through the incorporation of social determinants of health into patient care. As a result of his efforts, Mount Sinai can better track clinical information with patients’ specific social determinants of health. Mr. Berger has also been an adjunct professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai since February 2022.
Stephen Blackwelder. Chief Analytics Officer of Duke University Health System (Durham, N.C.). Mr. Blackwelder has been the chief analytics officer of Duke University Health System since 2014. He has experience working within accountable care, population health and health insurance. Prior to his role, Mr. Blackwelder served as the vice president of clinical data science at Cornerstone Health Enablement Strategic Solutions.
Deepesh Chandra. Chief Analytics Officer of Bon Secours Mercy Health (Cincinnati). Mr. Chandra has been the chief analytics officer of Bon Secours Mercy Health since 2020. He oversees the vision, leadership and strategy of data, analytics, and automation for Bon Secours Mercy Health. Prior to this role, Mr. Chandra served as an associate partner at QuantumBlack. He currently is a board observer at Trilliant Health and an official member of the Forbes Technology Council.
Debbie Cray. Chief Analytics Officer of Froedtert Health and The Medical College of Wisconsin (Milwaukee). Ms. Cray has been the vice president and chief analytics officer of Froedtert Health since 2021. She previously served as director and manager of enterprise analytics at UW Health and led the Analytics Center of Excellence. Ms. Cray has experience integrating operations and clinical activities, as well as developing staff into true analysts.
Hovannes Daniels. Vice President, Care Delivery Data and Analytics at Kaiser Permanente (Oakland, Calif.). Mr. Daniels started at Kaiser Permanente in September 2011 as the vice president, national Medicare finance and has served multiple vice president roles at the company before his current role in care delivery data and analytics which he started in November 2021. Mr. Daniels has 27 years of healthcare experience, including positions with the UnitedHealth Group and Blue Shield of California.
Albert Duntugan. Chief Data Officer of UCLA Health. Mr. Duntugan has been in his current role at UCLA Health since November 2020. He joined UCLA in 1998, starting in the School of Medicine as an administrative specialist where he managed funds for physicians and programs. He previously served as their senior director of enterprise information architecture where he managed a team of data architects and engineers and worked with clinical staff on addressing population health needs.
James Gaston. Vice president, Enterprise Data and Chief Data Officer of Parkland Hospital (Dallas). Mr. Gaston has served in his current role at Parkland Hospital since February 2022 where he advances the use of data, analytics insights and solutions across multiple platforms to enhance care. He focuses on using data to position Parkland Health as an example of advancing health equity.
Don Gray. Chief Enterprise Data and Analytics Officer at Mercy (St. Louis). Mr. Gray started his role at Mercy in January 2021. In this position, he formed their inaugural Enterprise Data and Analytics Office, led the formation of a cloud-based intelligent data platform and mitigates regulatory risks and legal exposures by identifying and in-boarding shadow IT environments. Before Mercy, he was the chief data and advanced analytics officer at S&P Global Ratings where he worked for over a year.
Cora Han, JD. Chief Health Data Officer of UC Health at University of California Office of the President. Ms. Han joined the University of California in August 2019 as the chief health data officer of UC Health after spending 10 years at the Federal Trade Commission. Ms. Han has played an integral role in the University of California becoming one of the first universities to publish recommendations for artificial intelligence deployment safely and responsibly in October 2021.
Rhiannon Harms. Chief Data and Analytics Officer of UnityPoint Health (West Des Moines, Iowa). Ms. Harms has been the chief data and analytics officer of UnityPoint Health since 2021. She has worked for UnityPoint for the past 18 years serving in several roles including executive director of analytics, executive director of strategic improvement and planning, assistant director of analytics, clinical data analyst, and nuclear medicine technologist. Prior to working for UnityPoint, Ms. Harms worked as a nuclear medicine technologist at The University of Iowa Health Care in Iowa City.
Karl Hightower. Chief Data Officer, Senior Vice President of Data Products and Services at Novant Health (Winston-Salem, N.C.). Mr. Hightower has been in his current role at Novant Health since June 2018. In his position, he and his teams oversee the use of information assets for the company and deliver products and services which range from advanced analytics and real-time messaging to delivering cognitive computing and AI solutions throughout the enterprise. He received an undergraduate degree in political science from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.
Rick Howard. Chief Data Officer at Ascension Information Systems (St. Louis). In Mr. Howard’s position as chief data officer, he leads a team focused on technical design and solution development. His responsibilities include understanding Ascension’s stored and in-transit data requirements which the team then uses to develop data interoperability, exchange, analytics and quality solutions. He previously served as their senior director of business development, and led enterprise data and analytics reorganization efforts.
Erich Huang. Chief Data Officer for Quality at Duke University Health (Durham, N.C.). Mr. Huang serves multiple roles at Duke University Health including chief data officer and assistant dean for biomedical informatics. He served as principal investigator on a NIH-funded project under the Big Data to Knowledge and as a faculty lead for informatics on the Google Life Sciences-funded Baseline study. He is currently leading the systemwide initiative for a data service for biomedical researchers and multiple projects on applied machine learning, user interfaces and visualization of surgical outcomes.
Roshan Hussain. Chief Data Officer of UK Healthcare (Lexington, Ky.). Mr. Hussain has been at his current role at UK Healthcare since 2019. Previously, he was the senior director of analytics and public reporting at Boston Medical Center for over six years and served as their director of clinical analytics before that. He received a master of public health in international health from Tulane University and a masters of business administration in quality management from Hofstra University.
Chris Hutchins. Vice President and Chief Data and Analytics Officer at Northwell Health (New Hyde Park, N.Y.). Mr. Hutchins joined Northwell Health as AVP of health analytics in 2015 and was promoted to the vice president and chief data and analytics officer in 2019. He also has experience as a member of the analytics expert network at the International Institute for Analytics and deputy CIO at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He has experience in developing analytics teams, establishing dta governance population health and more.
Danyal Ibrahim. Regional Chief Quality and Safety Officer at Trinity Health of New England (Hartford, Conn.). Mr. Ibrahim started his current role at Trinity Health in 2018. Previously, he was the regional chief data and analytics officer at Trinity. He received his masters of public health in statistics and big data analytics from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a master’s degree in healthcare delivery science from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
Kamalakar Jasti. Vice President Chief Analytics Officer of Analytics Center of Excellence for WellSpan (York, Pa.). Mr. Jasti has been the vice president, chief analytics officer of the Analytics Center of Excellence for WellSpan since 2020. He is responsible for establishing the Analytics Center of Excellence through centralized data and analytics. Prior to this role, Mr. Jasti served as executive director of enterprise data and analytics at SSM Health in St. Louis. He has experience in public, private, government, and nonprofit healthcare sectors.
Ylan Kazi. Chief Data Officer at Mercy Children’s Hospital Kansas City. Mr. Kazi has been the chief data officer at Mercy Children’s Hospital since 2021. Before then, he served multiple roles at UnitedHealth Group including vice president of data science and machine learning and the director of data science and machine learning. At Mercy, he leads the data intelligence team and focuses on creating and executing a data intelligence strategy.
Zain Kazmi. Chief Analytics Officer and Assistant Vice Chancellor of The University of Texas System (Austin). Mr. Kazmi serves as the Assistant Vice Chancellor and chief analytics officer in health affairs at The University of Texas System. Prior to his role, Mr. Kazmi was a management consulting executive in digital health practice at Accenture. He was appointed as the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for International Child Care.
Jawad Khan. Chief Data and Analytics Officer at Tufts Medicine (Boston). Mr. Khan has been in his current role since 2020. He is responsible for consolidating data and analytics for the health system on a unified platform. Prior to working at Tufts Medicine, he served as the director of advanced analytics and knowledge management at Rush University Medical Center where he worked for nearly six years.
Mitch Kwiatkowski. Chief Data and Analytics officer at Marshfield (Wis.) Clinic Health System. Mr. Kwiatkowski has been the chief data and analytics officer at Marshfield Clinic Health System since February 2022. Prior to this role, he worked at Highmark Health as the vice president of data operations and vice president of the Enterprise Data Hub. He received a bachelor of science in computer information systems from Robert Morris University and a masters in data science from University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.
Michael Legg. Senior Vice President of Analytics and Care Delivery at Spectrum Health (Grand Rapids, Mich.). Mr. Legg joined Spectrum Health in June 2021 as the senior vice president of analytics and care delivery after spending two years as vice president and chief data and analytics officer at UC Health in Cincinnati. He also has nearly a decade of experience in healthcare at Yale New Haven (Conn.) Health, eventually becoming executive director of reporting and analytics. Mr. Legg combines project management, organizational and communication skills to build and motivate high functioning teams.
Oscar Marroquin. Chief Healthcare Data and Analytics Officer of UPMC (Pittsburgh). Mr. Marroquin has been the chief healthcare data and analytics officer since 2020. He leads UPMC’s healthcare data and analytics activities while overseeing several teams. He joined UPMC in 2011, originally serving as the vice president of clinical analytics division and chief clinical analytics officer.
Albert Marinez. Chief Analytics Officer of Intermountain Healthcare (Salt Lake City). Mr. Marinez has been the chief analytics officer of Intermountain Healthcare since 2019. His role consists of defining and implementing analytic strategies in alignment with systemwide strategies defined by the executive leadership team. Prior to Intermountain, Mr. Marinez served as vice president of global analytics and connectivity services at Swisslog Healthcare.
Ken McCardle. Vice President and Chief Clinical Data Officer at Hackensack Meridian Health (Edison, N.J.). Mr. McCardle started his role at Hackensack in March 2022 and leads and operates analytics projects. He was previously at Mount Sinai in New York City where he served as both the senior director and vice president of clinical operations. He received his bachelor of science in psychology from the University of Florida and a bachelor of science in American and United States Studies and Civilization from Towson University.
Jon McManus. Vice President and Chief Data and Software Development Officer at Sharp Healthcare (San Diego). Mr. McManus has served in his current role at Sharp Healthcare since 2018. He previously worked at Parkland Hospital where he served in various roles including director of enterprise data governance. He has worked in various healthcare settings including academic medicine, county and government systems, public sector healthcare, consulting, vendor product development, nonprofit systems and startups.
Soyal Momin. Senior Vice President and Chief Analytics Officer of Presbyterian Health Services (Albuquerque). Mr. Momin has been the chief analytics officer of Presbyterian Health Services since 2015. His role includes leading data and analytics strategy, planning, development, implementation, driving value, while also overseeing clinical, operation, and financial data. Prior to working at Presbyterian Health Services, Mr. Momin served as director of research environment/informatics at Healthcore/Wellpoint.
Jane Murray. Vice President of Data and Analytics, Digital at Mass General Brigham (Boston). Ms. Murray began her career as an operations management fellow at Newton-Wellesley Hospital and continued to build her career as director and then executive director of Partners eCare before eventually becoming the vice president of data and analytics, digital at Mass General Brigham in 2020. She leads strategic initiatives and implements new programs to improve operations and outcomes, and has turned underperformed areas around to exceed performance targets. Ms. Murray also has experience in coaching and building high performing teams.
John Nichols. Chief Analytics Officer of St. Luke’s Health System (Kansas City, Mo.). Mr. Nichols has been the chief analytics officer of St. Luke’s Health System since 2022. Previously he served as the senior director of management at St. Luke’s Health System. Prior to working for St. Luke’s, Mr. Nichols served as the head of business data and analytics at Micron Technology. He has experience in driving analytics, reporting and integrating data solutions.
Richard Pro. Chief Data and Analytics Officer at Cone Health (Greensboro, N.C.). Mr. Pro assumed his current role in 2016 and is Cone Health’s first chief data and analytics officer. His team is responsible for the enterprisewide analytics platform, application of data science methods, the development of predictive and business simulation models and provision of analytics-driven consultative services for leaders across the organization. He earned an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University with a specialization in strategy.
Ajai Sehgal. Center for Digital Health Chief Data and Analytics officer at Mayo Clinic (Rochester, Minn.). Mr. Sehgal has served in his current role since December 2020. He was previously the chief technology officer at EagleView and chief information and technology officer and advisory board member at The Chemistry Group. Mr. Sehgal has led engineering efforts in data and analytics and software at scale. He is also currently an official member of Forbes Technology Council.
Sameer Sethi. Chief Data and Analytics Officer at Hackensack Meridian Health (Edison, N.J.). Mr. Sethi has been in his current role since April 2022. Before working at Hackensack, he served as the chief data officer at Bon Secours Mercy Health where he contributed to the execution of the data and analytics strategy and roadmap, provided consultative support to executive and senior leaders across the business units and led data and analytics initiative planning and delivery.
Niloo Steele. Chief Analytics Officer of Hospital Special Surgery (New York City). Ms. Steele has been the chief analytics officer of Hospital for Special Surgery since 2020. She has been working at Hospital for Special Surgery since 2017 and spent time as vice president of analytics and data science and the AVP of analytics. Prior to HSS, she worked at the NewYork-Presbyterian as corporate director of analytics.
Mark Towne. Chief Data Officer and Vice President of IT at Orlando Health. Mr. Towne has been the chief data officer and vice president of information technology at Orlando Health since 2020. In that role, he leads the organization to progress its use of data and advanced analytics to generate insights that drive improved care delivery, patient outcomes and operational performance. He graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a bachelor of science in computer science.
Yohan Vetteth. Vice President and Chief Analytics Officer of Stanford (Calif.) HealthCare. Mr. Vetteth has been the vice president and chief analytics officer of Stanford HealthCare since 2011. He is responsible for driving enterprise clinical and business improvement efforts through data analytics and reporting. He also establishes and maintains the enterprise data governance processes. Prior to this role, Vetteth Served as the U.S. lead partner of healthcare technology and strategy at Accenture.
Kerri Webster. Vice President Chief Analytics Officer of Children’s Hospital Colorado (Aurora, Colo.). Ms. Webster has been the vice president and chief analytics officer of Children’s Hospital Colorado since 2020. Prior to this role, she served as executive director of the Children’s Hospital. Ms. Webster also has experience as director of information technology at Centura in Centennial, Colo. She has a background in healthcare information technology, healthcare management and health systems.
Tom Witmer. Chief Data Officer at Medical University of South Carolina (Charleston). Mr. Witmer has been in his current role at the Medical University of South Carolina since July 2021. He was previously the vice president of corporate technology and analytics shared services at Kaiser Permanente in Oakland, Calif. In his current role, he is responsible for developing data strategy, managing enterprise data governance processes and enabling optimal deployment of data to drive academic, research and clinical business objectives.
Mark Ziemianski. Senior Vice President and Chief Data Officer at Children’s Health (Dallas). Mr. Ziemanski has been at Children’s Health for over nine years and in his current role as chief data officer since 2020. He was previously the executive director of strategic operations and business informatics at the University of Miami where he was a project director and provided leadership to project management, decision support, technical and interface groups and the Epic project team.
