Joyce Oh Joins Moffitt Cancer Center as New Vice President and Chief Information Officer

TAMPA, Fla. – Joyce Oh has joined Moffitt Cancer Center as the new vice president and chief information officer. In her role, she will be responsible for leading Moffitt’s information technology teams and contributing to the organization’s digital transformation efforts.

Bringing more than 25 years of technology experience to the cancer center, Oh will oversee Moffitt’s IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, IT applications, and digital business office functions throughout the enterprise. As CIO, she will also play a key leadership role as part of Moffitt’s Center for Digital Health team, collaborating with the chief data officer, vice president of digital and others to develop and apply digital tools to advance oncology care, research and education in support of Moffitt’s strategic plan.

Oh comes to Moffitt from Beaumont Health, Southeast Michigan’s largest health system, where she was the divisional chief information officer. She was responsible for IT systems and team performance while also ensuring the technology strategy roadmap aligned to organizational goals. As a close partner to the Beaumont Research Institute, she served as IT executive over Beaumont’s Precision Health Program and co-authored a COVID-19 seropositivity study published in multiple scientific journals.

She earned her bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University with a dual degree in economics and mathematics. She studied Business Analytics at UC Berkeley Executive Education. She also is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and is ITIL certified.
