The Head of Real World Data & Analytic Platform is the technology lead within the Real World Evidence function of Sanofi’s Digital Organization responsible for managing, evolving, and executing the RWE Platform in accordance with the business vision. The Platform lead will be responsible for all demands originating from the Digital RWE Hub and the RWE Spokes within the Global Business Units or R&D to support real world evidence and data needs across the company. Sanofi’s RWE Platform helps perform both conventional and advanced analytics in addition to acting as a technology stack for specific modeling and simulation applications. It is cloud based and built with a mix of both SaaS and inhouse developed components, all of which are in AWS. It is a cross-functional role, engaging directly with business stakeholders, innovation teams, vendors/external partners, and engineers across multiple development teams. Business input and industry research are critical aspects to the role and will require working directly with them to collect input, mold requirements, and release features. The role offers sufficient room for growth and innovation and works with the best of breed in terms of technological capabilities.
Core Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and lead technical and platform decision making for new data or analytics solutions
- Ensure system, technical, and product architectures are aligned with business objectives
- Manage delivery of existing Darwin Eco system (Palantir Foundry, AWS data lake, Voyager dashboards)
- Lead and support integration with vertical analytics platform including : external solutions like
- External solutions like Palantir Foundry , Aetion Evidence Platform, Databricks and Informatica based catalogs and
- Internally built solutions like AWS based data lakes, Qlik /Full stack based dashboards and some custom AWS services (Sagemaker, Rstudio etc)
- Manage ingestion of new data and industrialize ingestion process
- Be part of Data Tech committee in collaboration with Data arch & ops and drive enterprise decision making
- Monitoring and implementing usage of individual vertical applications
- Support transversal needs that leverage RWD or data lake infrastructure that cut across transversal organizational needs which will rely on the technical stack already established
- Provide technical blueprint for the RWE roadmap and strategy
- Manage a delivery team of data ingestion experts, service owner, integration specialists and a dashboard/app developer
- Perform performance review and constructive feedback
- Create and drive Darwin Governance and Steering committee to review technical needs and plan budget
- Manage build and RUN budget
- Understanding of technical concepts like data lake, cloud components (AWS), dev ops concepts and full stack

- 10+ years’ experience working with technical platforms and devising solutions
- 10+ years leading a team and working in a multi geographical environment
- Experience delivering in an Agile environment is a plus
- Must be able to manage and negotiate with vendors and handle multi-million-dollar contracts

Educational/Experience Qualifications:
- BA/BA degree from an accredited institution is required
- At least 8-10 leadership experience in program management, consulting, strategy or a related field in technology, or healthcare
- Demonstrable experience in life sciences Information systems/technology, having led or implemented large programs that involve cloud-based system implementation preferred
- Experience with RWE or Commercial data or systems a plus
